SKM EGG PRODUCTS EXPORT (INDIA) LTD - RESULT UPDATE
Company reported its December quarter and Nine months result as follows
Sir pls share your valuable view on SKM results. I don't see any reason for stock getting beaten up so harshly even after showing a tremendous turnaround from where it was a year and a half back.
Top line in line with expectation and bottom line bit below expectation . Major change happened in Inventory/work in progress . This may be due to production rationalisation during this period on account of unusual increase in raw material price.Historically Egg price start to fall from the month of March onward. Suggesting to take a call based on how long you are willing to Hold. Personally feel stock price already discounted this result.
Dicl : Holding shares and hence my views may be biased.
Thank you for your analysis and sharing your view on the results. Though I have no doubt on the company and its future growth potential, there is one thing I would like to bring discuss.
Last 2 quarters, the results were good but had some concern and the market had already figured out the result before release and that makes me feel, there maybe some insider trading\info leak happening. if that is true, does that put some sort of a question mark on the management. Whats your view on this aspect.
Unlike many other companies, raw material of SKM is mainly a single one ( Egg) and even a lay man can easily track the price trend of it even from nearby shop . So whether it is positive or negative people may react quickly .
VP sir, Thanks for guiding us though this difficult times. Our faith has increased after seeing your posts and though qtrly results may be bit lower but 9 mnths results are showing growth in topline and bottomline.
Too much unwanted noise in the MMB has many small investors unnerved. Add small qty today also.
If you are looking for mining companies, consistent dividend payout, limited downside then take a look at such stocks which are below their 5 year low due to recent market correction
Companies such as Coal India, Hindustan Zinc, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and National Aluminium Company (Nalco) are trading significantly below their 5-year average valuations due to weak commodity prices.
High cash (around 50% of market capitalisation) will limit their downside, and investors with long-term horizon would find these shares attractive for their high dividend paying policies.
If fall in commodities bottoms out sometime later this year (unlikely in the near term) these stocks could offer good returns to their investors.
Unlike metal companies, which have high debt and are seeing losses in the weak commodity environment, mining companies have managed to sustain their profitability and cash flows. All the mining companies mentioned above are debt free and have huge cash on their balance sheets.
Interestingly, after underperforming the benchmark indices - Nifty and Sensex - most of these mining companies have given positive returns in the past one month, when Nifty and Sensex were down by 4%. Government's divestment plans could be an overhang, but the divestments are unlikely to happen at such low prices.
Personally it was below my expectation .But I believe ,going forward ,situation will improve due to govt's efforts in infrastructure sector and activities related with the construction of new capital for AP.
Decreased margins, does it should be seen as concern?
