SANKHYA INFOTECH - SOMETHING COOKING ??
There was some unusual volume and price movement in Andhra based Sankhya Infotech today. In the morning trade it was up 20% and touched the upper circuit.Volume also surged to 2.2 lakhs against two week average of just 7500 shares.About one month back another Hyderabad based listed company HBL power system (FV Rs.1/-) acquired almost 10% stake in this company through bulk deals.Sankhya is specializing in sectors related with Oil and gas,Aviation.Energy ..etc.Customers of HBL is also from these sectors ,even if they are making Batteries and other products. This really make sense for the management of HBL to increase their stake in this company and utilize its relations with its customers from these sectors.Sankhya's business has been affected last year due to overall negative sentiment in IT sector. It is a fact that about 66% of the promoter holding of Sankhya is already pledged. All together it is a counter to watch, but at present it is not clear whether it will end in a take over.Currently it is trading around Rs.35/-
