  7. Dear narendra
Due to a rise in raw material cost and a fire in company godown in October affected its performance. It is expected to perform well going forward.Better to wait for some more time.

  8. Hi valuepick,
I am reading some of the warren buffett books. He disagrees with the concept of portfolio diversification across multiple sectors. He says that if you have selected 20 good company's, out of them why to put your money in to your 20th choice, rather than putting in to your top 5 or 10?

whats your opinion on this. does this will be applicable to our Indian markets ?

    Thanks
    Sravani

No doubt about it .Over diversification needs only when we have no conviction and confidence on a company.

  13. Dear Valuepick,
    I too hold ludlow.

Price of jute has gone up a lot and bangladesh is not exporting jute. Considering supply side constraints price of jute is expected to remain high. Wont this affect ludlow's profitability and margins in a big way? How do you think performance will improve going forward?

What you said is right .But I feels many of the negatives are already reflecting in its stock price. There may be some margin pressure in short term .Expecting mandatory shift from plastic to jute in various fields in near future which will help the companies to pass the additional burden to consuming companies .

What you said is right .But I feels many of the negatives are already reflecting in its stock price. Expecting a shift from plastic to jute in various fields going forward. Such a mandatory change will help the companies to rise the price and keep margins. Short term margin pressure may happen.

  16. Dear Valuepick,

    Thanks for your views.

I agree that a lot of negatives have been factored in the current price. I have ludlow at around 80rs. I was thinking of averaging. On one hand, after seeing Dec quarter EPS, I feel it might correct more even from current market price in terms of PE multiple. But on the other hand, its market cap is below 50crore and I am wondering if thats already cheap.
