Wishing you a happy weekend sir. Pls share your current view on your old recommendation Ashapura Minechem. Can I enter at current levels for long term? Thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteOn the business side .performance of Ashapura is improving . But the sector as a whole is out of favor now . This may impact stock valuation in the short term , but once there is some re-rating in sector , this may out perform . In short , at present it is suitable for investors with enough patience.
DeleteDear VP sir, People are still blogging and writing in public domain with standard disclaimer so I believe there is no issue in posting about stocks . You just need to write down disclaimer. We all are eagerly waiting for second Saturday ..so please start recommendation again. One more request : You can write about your experience in stock and the theme can be 1. In some stocks you didn;t believe and later it turned a multibagger and 2. Stocks where because of misjudgement ..it failed or didn't meet expectation. That experience is worth a goldmine for us. Your view highly appreciated . Thanks in advance on behalf of all readers .
DeleteYour smile sufficient for us thanks .....:)
ReplyDeleteThats pretty cool movie.
ReplyDeleteHi VP, We were eagerly looking for your recommendation this Saturday. Are you not suggesting because of new SEBI rules or waiting for Q1 results to get more clarity before the recommendation. Please advise,
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Murali
Frankly speaking ,Still I am confused about the boundary line drawn by SEBI in between freedom of expression of an Indian citizen without claiming as a research analyst and the work of a research analyst /investment advisor, hence avoided .
DeleteYou do not need to worry about SEBI Research Analyst regulations, I have had long discussions with advocates who have specialized in SEBI cases and they say as blog-writers we are not under any compulsion to register for the RA act until and unless we have a paid blog or that sort-off thing.
DeleteDid you read the Clarification from SEBI which states: “Any person who makes recommendation or offers an opinion concerning securities or public offers only through public media is not required to obtain registration as research analyst under RA Regulations”
The link to the clarification document: http://www.sebi.gov.in/cms/sebi_data/attachdocs/1418122025732.pdf
DeleteTo my understanding , still there is lack of clarity in this matter and SEBI never explicitly mentioned this rule is not applicable for sites/blogs running on non paid basis .It can be interpreted in either way and clarity may emerge only once some controversy emerges on this subject.
DeleteHi VP Sir ,
DeleteAlways happy to see new recommendation from you and take position if fits my risk profile. However number of the earlier reco's are still available at great valuations and my portfolio size is almost 20 . Enjoying as these are in consolidation phase and adding more on every dip or over a period of time at same price. Just my opinion.
Vp sir you are a inspiration to innumerable investors in the Indian stock market who have started exploring value investing opportunities due to you.. You should continue and no SEBI can stop us from reading from you and you are pretty much posting in the regulatory frame work and you are not giving us target or spoon feeding a call to us but just finding some good companies and writing about it. I don't see any reason why u shud not continue.. Trust me you are legally correct!

ReplyDeleteSir i had purchased MIC electronics at Rs 16 and 17 and 25.50 totaling to 2245 shares it went up till 29.50 but now what is happening is that every day its a Lower circuit and its going down and there are no buyers i though intend to stay invested in the stock for a longer period but still some panic going on in my mind and though the conversion of warrants have taken place but still 75% is with public is that the problem or its going down everyday due to bad news which i am not finding in public domain can you share a light on it please sir.
ReplyDeleteAren't you aware about all these things two days back ?
DeleteWhere are you investing - in market or in companies ?
Sir your views on MIC.. already invested and I have faith in the business prospects of the company. Don'twant to follow the sell rally.. Your advice on the same?
DeleteFor majority of people , conviction ends in one or two lower circuits . Such people will not make any meaningful gain or multi bagger return from any stock. Correction is part of any up move and one should accept it. No change in my previous view on MIC , still positive.
