CLARIS LIFESCIENCES - RE-RATING ON CARDS ?

We have discussed about CLARIS LIFE SCIENCES earlier and mentioned that the history of its promoters ( related with Core Healthcare issue )as one of the big negative factor.During the last one year some positives happened for Claris. First one is the approval of the Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency (MHRA-UK) which enables the company to relaunch its Bag Products in European Union. EU is the second largest market for injectable products. Its Ahmadabad facility is also expecting positive outcome from the recent inspection of USFDA.Both these approvals will help the company to improve its sales.Another factor is the possibility of a re-rating in Parenteral manufacturers after the acquisition of Ahlcon Parenterals by the German healthcare products major B Braun at a valuation of Rs.331 Cr which is at 23x its trailing EBITDA and over 57x its trailing net profit.Third point is the recent entry of some institutional investors and individual investors with repute ,in this company.Morgan Stanley recently bought 5 lac shares of Claris @ Rs.155.50/- and Shivanand Shankar Manekar bought 7 lac shares@Rs.140/-. If there is no negative surprise from recent  USFDA authoritie's visit  and good standard of corporate governance by the company may help it to re-rate in medium to long term .CMP is Rs.158/-

  3. Dear ValuePick,

Kudos to you. You have excellent depth of knowledge on Indian equity market. And it's very nice of you to share such knowledge with the general public.

I have one doubt though! You make so many recommendations but never talk about your capital allocation framework and how many companies do you think one can own at one time. If you can shed some light on these topics it will be great.

Also it will be good if you have a portfolio page in the blog and list all recommendations at one place with their date and price at time of entry and exit.

    Regards
    MangoMan

    1. Dear Friend

How many scrips in a portfolio depends on the conviction and risk appetite,I personally prefer less than 10 in any case.

    1. Lovable is a high risk one and purely on fundamental basis it is over valued.Market fancy will continue only for limited period and working performance is required thereafter to get premium valuation which lacks here.

One life is company trading at a market cap of more than 400 cr with a turnover of just 2 Cr ,this type magic is possible only in India.

  10. Hi Sir,

I am a novice in equity market, slowly learning the concept and behavior of market. Want to systematically create my own portfolio of 8-10 stocks, beginning with 1-2 stocks a month.

For this month, which 2 stocks you would advice for me to invest on a long-term perspective.

    Thanks,

Now I don't like to invest in Govt owned companies producing/Servicing human needs like Gas,Petro,Energy..etc. Let a strong govt with decision making power come in Centre.

  13. Hi Sir,

So you track CRAVATEX LTD. It is on a mad run from 350 to 700+ , gave bonus 1:1 , back to 350 and again its trading at 790+. All this happened in just 1 year. If we consider the 1:1 bonus , its price has multiplied by 4 times.
