    1. If you are so much interested in it and ready to take very high risk - hold it .Expecting some fund raising in near term .Better to exit at least just before that.

    1. Dear Sathish

There is nothing wrong with these companies ,but as you know these type mid caps are mainly held by retail investors who are panicking in any shake up in market .In such a situation 90 % of small investors will loose their sleep and become willing to throw away even good stocks without even bothered about price.Their only consideration is exiting from stocks at any costs.Even after many years in stock market 90 % of retail investors are still unable to control emotions at a time of carnage in stock market .Looking at the trading screen each and every second is the main reason for this temptation.Investing either in FD,bond funds or at least in Bluechips is the suitable method for such people. If you are a long term investor and believing in companies and not in markets use sharp dips to buy in staggered manner. If a company's business is growing it will reward ultimately ,whatever be the level of indices.

    1. Sequent came down in tandem with a crash in the share price of their other company Strides Arcolab. There is some rumors in the market about the exit of current promoters from Strides .If it happens ,I believe such a situation will ultimately benefit Sequent Scientific in long term.

  10. Hi VPji,

Could you please throw some light on L&T Finance Holding? Is it worth a buy from a long term perspective? Leave aside the potential Banking license... even without that, do you think this is a good bet? Also, if you could share your thoughts on the company's decision to go for the preference shares issue...

I'd really appreciate if you could guide me here.

    Regards,

    Ashish

    1. Dear Niketan

Tracking the trading trend of this stock ,I feels the recent crash in stock price is due to some one trapped in this low volume counter and then desperately tried to exit at any cost.Non exclusion from 'T' group in the recent group change may be one reason or some other ....I believe this will again show firm trend once that shares absorbed

  15. Dear VP,

I would like to know your thoughts on the effect of certain high-profile investors. Particularly, I want to know what you think about Mankekar. Mankekar has been strongly punting Ktkbank, Strides, Shasun, Sequent, etc in the investment banking circles. After the debacle in KTK and Strides, people in the investment banking industry are seriously questioning his tips. Do you think such names (with their selfish intent) can be a bad influence for a good company? You may argue about their selfishness but in my experience people like Mankekar, Khattar, Damani, etc have made money at the expense of retain investors.

    Thanks!
