ADVANTA INDIA - REPEAT

This stock earlier recommended @ Rs.389 in 2010  which touched a high of Rs.1177 in February 2013 . Thereafter  company splitted the face value of its shares from Rs.10 to Rs.2 .This United phosphorus promoted seed company reported very good numbers in latest June quarter and the prospects of the industry is very bright . Advanta corrected sharply in past few months( even after  FV adjustment) and I believe it is the time to consider it again @ CMP of Rs.134.( FV Rs.2) . For more details about Advanta ,refer the old posting about it HERE

  7. hi,
I purchased Advanta at average price of 126.89 today. Though it was surprising to see such a huge correction from the previous high without any negative news flow. Rather I found that there was a disclosure that someone from promoter group purchased at 198 recently(FV 2).

    Hope for the best.

    Thanks

  10. India Gelatine is driving me nuts... All the financial numbers looks perfect. The best part is Free Cash Flow as percentage of Sales: 13.64% . YOY dividend is increased and is virtually debt free. yet the price is not going anywhere.

Sir, Do you think India gelatine has good future.

    thanks
    Deepak

    1. Many mid caps are available at attractive valuation. But the sentiment towards mid and small caps at lower level and retail participation is very low.If not ready to show sufficient patience no meaning in investing in this market. On the other side, these are the times where we can buy stocks with multibagger kind prospects if we have very good patience.

  12. Hello VP sir,

one basic question: when companies like Ion Exchange (amalgamation with Ion Exchange Services), Liberty Shoes (acquiring Liberty Retail Revolution), acquire their subsidiaries like this, then only standalone results will get impacted, but consolidated results will remain unchanged? Or I am missing something?

    Replies
    1. Depends on the percentage of holding in subsidiaries before merger.

  13. Hi VPji

If I need to choose 1 stock among below ( to reduce excessive diversification) what would you suggest.

    Rapicut
    Eon Electric
    Paushak
    Simran Farms

I currently hold these but the invesment is too low to really bother. I will instead like to concentrate.

    Thanks.

    1. If you are looking for a concentrated portfolio it is better to avoid all of these and better to find something with lesser risk.
