Hi VP
ReplyDeleteCmp 584 is a typo. It should be 554
Try to pay some more attention while reading anything related with stocks and companies .:) I never mentioned CMP as Rs .584 but indicated that it hits its life time high today @ Rs 584 .
DeleteAnonymous Vp sir has typed @ 584 as a life time high and not cmp.

DeleteDear sir, this is a management related question; what is your opinion about EID Parry's and Jain Irrigation leadership team? both companies have given losses and the CMP has factored in that fact and has fallen a lot. Are they attractive at these levels for the long term? Do you think the management team at these firms can bring about a turnaround?
ReplyDeleteAre they capable enough for me as a layman investor to invest in them at this price?? Basically speaking sir, is there hope left in them or are they hopeless companies? Awaiting your sound opinion as always. Thanks sir.
I don't think management of these cos are bad but the business environment of the industry in which they are operating is bit challenging at this point due to various reasons.

DeleteDear VP Sir..I have one question wrt export oriented companies like SKM and Avanti..Why do these expot oriented companies rule at such low PE ratios? Comapnies like Page industries, MRF, eicher etc rule at such high PE's. Is it because of the fear that is associated with fluctuations in currency and recessionary factors that effect export oriented companies? Do you think in a big bull market there is PE rerating that will happen on SKM?
ReplyDeleteP/E ratio of companies owned popular brands will be normally high.

DeleteDear VP Sir,
ReplyDeleteI see your old recos Apar Industries and Selan exploration and i also assume slowing down crude oil prices has impacted these two to a greater extent. Would you believe is this the right time for fresh entry keeping long term time horizon ?
Impact of decline in crude price is different on both cos. Positive for Apar and Negative for Selan. Selan is a contra buy which need lot of patience.

DeleteRespected sir, as you suggested il&fs constructions last time. Your analysis and financial abilities of the management are so good. But when I go through the financial quarters i felt little bit disappointed. My point (may be wrong)is if it show something progress in results or some fundamentals then we may go for buying. Other wise we miss the opportunity cost. Just asking about your view on the scrips in picking.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on each one's investment style

DeleteVP Sir - I am not able to buy IL&FS Eng as its not available for trade in ICICDIRECT, When I called the customer care they say only listed company can be brought and their risk management team may have blacklisted the script.
ReplyDeleteFrom your experience, Is it possible to buy the shares through any other medium or do i have to open a new broker account
If the knowledge level of executives handling Customer Care section of any brokerage is low enough to mention IL&FS Engineering as an unlisted company , better to avoid such firms and open another account with another firm where executives are ready to take the pain of spending few minutes to check whether a stock is listed or not.
DeleteMAYINF is the code in icicidirect....I am also using Icici only. .........waiting/searching for good brokarage.....any help /suggestion reg brokarage???
